Safe Positioning of a Baby in a Sling or Carrier • Ensure the baby is in an upright position (head up) so their airways are visible and unobstructed. • Carry the baby at a height where you can easily kiss the top of their head. • Make sure the baby’s back is properly supported, and the carrier fabric snugly wraps around them. • The baby’s legs should be slightly spread and supported from one knee to the other. • If the baby cannot hold their head up independently, provide proper head support.
